The Grossarltal Valley is a true natural treasure. You can hike on around 400 km of marked trails to approximately 40 mountain huts in the Grossarltal Valley. Because of this high density of alpine huts, Grossarltal is known as the “Valley of the Mountain Huts”. However, here you can hike not only to huts, but also to mountain summits and alpine lakes.

Several via ferratas with varying levels of difficulty await climbers in our valley. With strength and stamina, you can discover the incredible world of the Alps whilst climbing in Austria. We have plenty on offer for experienced climbers, too.

Our own forest just behind the chalets

Directly behind the chalet complex, you will find a small forest where our dwarf sheep live in summer. Pay them a visit, unplug and relax.

Free e-bike hire

We offer our guests great e-bikes that can be hired for free. Nothing stands in your way of a leisurely and enjoyable bike ride.

Grill & chill

What would summer be without barbecues? Here, you can put together your own barbecue selection which is then delivered directly to you along with your own grill.

Our chalet complex is nestled in the wonderful and breathtaking Hohe Tauern National Park. This is the perfect place for switching off from everyday life.

The Grossarltal Valley is not called the “Valley of the Mountain Huts” for nothing. At the area’s approximately 40 huts, you will be treated to local delicacies and, of course, a good schnapps. These rustic alms and the warm-hearted locals will spoil you with their hospitality – you are sure to take home an unforgettable experience.

Golfers will find a number of golf courses in the immediate vicinity of the Auszeit chalet village. From teeing off to toasting with a drink in the clubhouse, golfing in Salzburger Land is all about enjoyment. Plus, dogs are allowed on the golf courses.

The Grossarltal sports and recreation centre is a whopping 36,000 m² in area, offering visitors of all ages a wealth of things to do and discover. Fancy a quick dip in the outdoor pool?
